The Muxaxon is the cook, the neighbor and the friend who never lets you leave hungry. That is the whole idea behind this kitchen: chicharrones crackling in the pot, churrascos coming off the grill, and a plate that tastes like home whether home is Guatemala, Mexico or right here in Westchester.
Everything is made to order. The tortillas are pressed by hand, the consomé simmers all morning, and the chicharrones are cooked in small batches so they stay crisp. Come sit down, or we will bring it to your door.
- It started with a stand Birthdays, quinceañeras, church festivals, block parties. People hired us, we set up the grill, and the line formed on its own.
- Then people started asking where to find us The same faces kept showing up at every event, asking when the next one was. So we opened a place where the answer is always: today.
- Now: a kitchen on Lake Drive — and the stand still rolls The restaurant is open, and we still take the grill and the tacos out to events. Book us for yours.

Meet the owner
The man behind the grill and the tacosRonaldo Ramirez Lopez
Ronaldo learned to cook the way most people learn to cook: standing next to family, doing it wrong until it came out right. Years later he was loading a grill into a truck every weekend, feeding whole parties one plate at a time.
He still works the grill himself, at events and at the restaurant. If you order, chances are he cooked it.

We ordered the regular churrasco, the Churrasco de la Mena, and chicharrones. The food was delicious, the portions and prices were reasonable, and the beautiful view made the experience even more enjoyable. The manager was very down-to-earth and genuine, which made us feel especially welcome. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Honestly, very authentic Mexican food! The birria tacos were phenomenal. The breakfasts were also delicious. So so happy to have found a GOOD Mexican restaurant. Also, the agua fresca was so good and fresh! Not too sweet, just perfect!

Everything is so fresh. The chicharrón is crispy but not dry. The tortillas are nice and soft and the meat is great. Def will be coming back.

Excellent service and absolutely delicious food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their customers. Chicharrones Muxaxon is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended!

Was very excited to see a new spot opened up on the lake. The food is delicious and you can tell everything is fresh. Sit down and look out at the lake while eating. Two thumbs up! Will definitely be back again and again

I tried the beef tacos and they were delicious. I asked for medium meat and it was done right. They also included a red and green sauce, which were perfect
